Sage Brush

As we were going through Wyoming there was this greenish brush everywhere in the fields.

At this rest stop we finally got to learn what it was.

Driving in the Clouds

As we continued across Wyoming the rain didn't really ever quit. There were times where it would stop for a few moments and then continue to drizzle or even pour. But every once in a while we would get to see something amazing like this picture. The clouds were so low we thought we would be able to just drive up into them. The clouds, at one point, seemed to cuddle our van and we couldn't see very far. But it was peaceful.

Of course the semi behind us going down the hill kept us from forgetting where we were. ; ]

Pizza for Dinner

We stopped at Pizza Hut for dinner. They were having an all you can eat buffet. Very nice.

My daughter told me that I should take a picture of her and mommy and then posed with a cheesy grin.

She has been sitting in a car seat all day so she probably needed to burn off some energy.

She is a good traveler and is looking forward to being in Idaho.

Home on the Range

Wyoming is beautiful! If you haven't ever seen it, it is like something out of the old westerns. It is open plains with rolling hills. We were so surprised to see how incredible it was. I would love to see it during a sunny day with the mountains in the distance.

Wyoming

If you look really close in the background you can see the welcome sign to Wyoming.

Have you figured out why Mr. T is wearing his police clothes?

It is because today is Memorial Day and there are a lot more police officers out on the road making it safe. I thought they might get a chuckle out of it if we got the chance to meet one.

The Buffalo

The lone buffalo was standing on the open range. At least that is what it looked like for about 10 seconds. Then, we figured out that the buffalo was really a huge iron buffalo that was set out to look like a real buffalo.

Well, it did its job. Looked real to us. : ]

I thought it was neat that someone actually thought to do that. I wonder how many people thought the same thing we did.

The Rockies!

As we approached Denver, the clouds were overflowing around the Rockies. They are hard to see because of all the clouds but you ought to be able to make them out.
